The Danish Royal Family Visits Hanoi on Bike

Four bicycle taxis are ready for Queen Margrethe, Prince Henrik and Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary when they visit Vietnam the 1st of November.
It is the first time the royal couple is accompanied by the Crown Prince Couple on a state visit. It is also the first time Queen Margrethe and Crown Princess Mary visit the country, while both Frederik and his father have been there before. Especially Prince Henrik knows Vietnam well because he spent the first five years of his life in Hanoi and later returned to the country to study.
The destination of the royal private bike ride is Prince Henrik’s childhood home in Hanoi which they are planning to see both from the inside and outside. Today the house is being used by the Vietnamese minority organizations.  
It is President Nguyen Minh Triet who has invited the Danish Royal Family to Vietnam and in the evening on the 2nd of November after Queen Margrethe and her daughter-in-law Mary have completed their visit to My Anh Flag Factory and Crown Prince Frederik has visited Hanoi Beer Company’s new brewery and the Climate Change Institute, the royal family are guests of honour at a big state banquet.
During the state visit Margrethe and Mary will also see a children’s theatre together and visit a company that makes jewellery and ceramics.
The Crown Prince Couple will visit Bang & Olufsen’s store in Hanoi and on the 4th of November the couple will go to a rock concert with Danish and Vietnamese bands in Hue Sports Center.
