Swedish Alfa Laval Advances in Vietnam

Alfa Laval Group has taken yet another order from PetroVietnam Group. The order value is approximately 100 million SEK and includes equipment and process solutions to an ethanol plant in northern Vietnam. Delivery is expected in 2010.
The plant in Vietnam will produce ethanol fuel from cassava chips. Alfa Laval’s heat exchangers will be used in ethanol plant processes for starch-based fermentation, distillation and dehydration.
– Alfa Laval has for a long time been a leading supplier to the established ethanol market in the U.S. and Brazil. This is our second order from Vietnam in a short time and it confirms that we also have a strong position in the growing Asian market, says Lars Renstrom president and CEO at Alfa Laval.
Alfa Laval AB is a Swedish company founded in 1883. The company is a leading producer of specialized products and solutions used to heat, cool, separate and transport products such as oil, water, chemicals, beverages, foodstuffs, starch and pharmaceuticals.
