ABB secures SEK 38 million contract in Hanoi

Hanoi Power Company has signed a SEK 38 million contract for delivery of a new operations center that will manage electricity supply in Hanoi.
The center, which enables real time network surveillance and management, will be operational by mid 2005. Hanoi Power Company supplies electricity to 325 000 customers.
“The new system will decrease the number of electricity failures and provides a much faster recovery after blackouts and failures,” says Mr Staffan Vedin, ABB Ludvika, responsible for ABB Vietnam market. “For example does the system provide right information to the right person, enabling more efficient and faster decisions in the organisation.”
Training in Sweden as well as in Vietnam is included in the agreement.
