Three Malaysian students from Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Victoria won the National Science Quiz 25 September. Soon they will enjoy their prize, a trip to Stockholm and attend the Nobel Prize Award 7 to 10 December, writes news agency Bernama.
The three are Mohd Faeiz Yusop, Loh Zixiang and Tan Kin Wai. Their science teacher Darlilah Daraman will follow them as will National Space Agency Director-General Datuk Dr Mazlan Othman. The five leave Malaysia on 4 December.
Deputy Science, Technology and Environment Minister Datuk Zainal Dahalan said to Bernama that the Malaysian Science Academy began sending the quiz champions to the function since 1999.
Through the visit students have the rare opportunity of meeting the Nobel Prize winners, Zainal said. The Stockholm visit is sponsored by Novozymes Malaysia Sdn Bhd.
