Scam uncovered involving masseurs who are promised work in Finland

In the early hours of Wednesday Morning, Police Lieutenant Colonel Sanae from Pattaya Police Station dealt with a case of possible fraud involving Thai masseurs who were promised work in Finland in exchange for a payment of 30,000 Baht which was expected to cover visa and passport expenses, writes PattayaOne.

Khun Nutchanart aged 36 is suspected of being behind the scam and was present at the Police Station to acknowledge the complaint against her. Complaints were made to Police back in 2008 but were never followed up and the suspect is thought to have continued taking money from masseurs whose dream of working in Finland never materialized.

Khun Nutchanart claimed she never scammed anyone and the documentation had not been completed for 7 masseurs who had already parted with the money. The Police did not believe her story and charged her with fraud. She was incarcerated for a time and later bailed pending a court appearance.
