The Norwegian Embassy in Indonesia Focus on Deforestation and Climate Change

The Norwegian Embassay in Jakarta, Indonesia has just recently hired a new adviser, Hege Karsti Ragnhildstveit, for the Norwegian government on how to imply the Government of Norway’s International Climate and Forest Initiative in Indonesia, Papua New Guinea and Vietnam.

The goal of the initiative is to implement the issue deforestation and climate in third world countries in a new international climate agreement. The initiative was started by the Norwegian PM, Jens Stoltenberg back in 2007 as part of the climate summit in Bali 2007.

Ms. Ragnhildstveit begun at the embassy in January but she already knows the region and speaks Bahasa Indonesia.
