Grundfos listed in “Ten Great Places to Work For in Europe”

Danish pump manufacturer Grundfos has been listed as one of “Ten Great Places to Work For in Europe” in a survey conducted by the renowned US business magazine, Fortune.
     To compile their listing, Fortune canvassed a wide range of people from journalists and securities analysts to social investment researchers and consultants. The top ten were selected from 60 candidate companies, and each was visited by Fortune journalists. The details of the survey was published on January 20 issue of Fortune magazine this year.
     Grundfos, whose mission is “a better life and a healthy environment”, is clearly delighted with the accolade that ranks them alongside the likes of Italy’s iconic Ferrari, Switzerland’s Nestlé, French cement company Lafarge, UK’s Bacardi Martini, Spanish conglomerate Mondragon and Sweden’s clothing retailer Hennes & Mauritz.
     “We are naturally proud to be considered worthy of a place in such fine company,” said Grundfos CEO to Danish financial daily newspaper Børsen.
     Grundfos is the world’s second-biggest producer of water pumps (after ITT), has annual revenues of DKK 10.7 billion (USD 1.5 billion), and has posted returns before taxes of at least 6% pa for the past 5 years. The group employs 4,100 people at its headquarters and manufacturing plant in Bjerringbro, Jutland.
