The Swedish Export Credit Guarantee Board visits Jakarta

“Swedish companies have a growing interest in Indonesia,” says Ambassador of Sweden, H. E. Ewa Polano. The visit of the Export Credits Guarantee Board shows the growing importance that is put on Indonesia both in Sweden and globally. We are pleased that the visit has been so productive.
The Governors of the Swedish Export Credits Guarantee Board (EKN) visited Jakarta on 12-14 April to learn more about business opportunities and risks in Indonesia. Their assessment will inform EKN’s future credit guarantee policy in Indonesia.
The Delegation, headed by Director-General and Head of EKN Ms Karin Apelman, met with H. E. Mr Tifatul Sembiring, Minister of Communication and Information Technology, H. E. Mr Mahendra Siregar, Vice Minister of Trade, Mr Nasri Sebayang, Director of Planning and Technology of PT PLN (Persero), as well as senior economists, political experts and representatives of Indonesian companies. Also, they had meetings with several members of the Swedish business community in Indonesia.
“Bilateral relations between Indonesia and Sweden are excellent. We see great potential for further fruitful cooperation between our countries in trade, as well as in many other areas,” Ambassador Polano adds.
