The Swedish government has just announced that Prime Minister Göran Persson will travel to Thailand, India and Singapore between 7 and 13 January 2004.
He is in Thailand between 7 and 9 January. There he will conduct talks with Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra, participate in business events and visit ABB`s site in Bang Na.
Among the already confirmed events in Thailand is a luncheon at the Montien Suriwongse Hotel on 8 January, hosted by the Thai-Swedish Chamber of Commerce and the Swedish Embassy.
Mr Persson travels to Singapore 12 to 13 January where the program includes talks with Prime Minister Goh Chok Tong, a meeting with President S R Nathan, business events and a visit to Biopolis, Singapore’s newly opened biotech center.
Also in Singapore a joint Embassy/Swedish Business Association Singapore event is planned. Information will be available soon.

The India visit is scheduled for 9-11 January.
