Swedish producer to shoot documentary in Vietnam

The Swedish producer Carl Myren was recently in Vietnam to produce a documentary on the work, achieved from development aid, supported by the Embassy of Sweden.

The development aid is based on the Partner Driven Cooperation (PDC), with is a partnership between Swedish partners and partners in Vietnam. Swedish Development Assistance (Sida) is the Swedish partner behind PDC and has development aid projects in seven countries in Asia. Vietnam was the first to host the team of producers to describe the effects of the PDC projects.

During a two day film shoot on Cat Ba, the film crew met with representatives from the project and interviewed farmers who are affected by climate change. The farmers have through the help of the Centre for Marine and Coastal Development (MCD) and Stockholm University, which is supported by the Embassy of Sweden, learnt to adapt their livelihood to current climate conditions. The documentary will be released in November and will then be spread to interested parties, the Embassy of Sweden informs.
