Wu Promotion in collaboration with the Finnish Embassy and Finnish Expat groups presents Finland’s most popular vocal groups Semmarit live performances at the One Club in Beijing’s Chaoyang District on 19th and 20th November 2010. They are a really original rock and roll choir and dance group, who have previously toured in USA and Canada with their exciting live show. Semmarit was found in 1989, when a group of male students from the University of Jyväskylä, Finland wanted to bring something quite different and new to the male choir scene.
The innovative 21-Finnish vocal group combines rock n’roll, drama, dance and comedy creating the original and entertaining live show. Their performance takes the fragments of a multiple of artistic styles, and glues them together with a splash of humor and enthusiasm. Their show bring many styles of musical accompaniment ranging from World Cup song to classical music, including African rhythm, didgeridoo, kazoo, beer bottles and a toilet door. The show is more interesting with world customs including Japanese sumo wrestling, African drumming and traditional Scottish dance.
Semmarit will have 2 nights of performance on 19th and 20th November at The One Club at 20:00 pm. In addition, on the 17th November, they will be the opening act of The 5th China Beijing International Cultural & Creative Industry Expo at the great Hall oft the People.
