Almost Ready for Cheap Tickets to Bangkok


Norweagian Air Shuttle has signed a letter of intent to lease two Boeing 787-8 (BA.N) Dreamliner aircraft as part of the airline’s plan to begin long-haul operations.


The company is also negotiating for another 4-6 planes and hopes to launch flights to New York and Bangkok.


The airline, which competes with Scandinavian leader SAS, said it will take delivery of the first two aircraft in the fall of 2012 from ILFC, a unit of American International Group , begining a lease term of 12 years.


Norwegian Air said it was also seeking short-term leases to help a start-up of long-haul flights in 2011.
