The first Nordic Young Professionals Networking was held at Stable Lodge Restaurant on Thursday night 11 November 2010. Surprisingly, some 80 Nordic YP’s got together for a cozy evening!
The event was placed by the pool where cold Chang draught beer was served to all participants. Stable Lodge also offered a traditional Scandinavian menu at a special price. Many previously knew each other while many others met new friends for the first time here. They are young energetic new blood who live here for different reasons such as education, short internship, or run their own business. They talked about everything from work to happiness, life in general or what’s happening in Bangkok City.
“I am amazed to see so many young Nordic people attending this first Nordic Young Professional Networking,” Anne Groth Katballe, the intern at Danish Thai Chamber of Commerce said.
“When we announced this event via Facebook, 75 people signed up right away! I am so excited and happy with this good feedback!”
“They are Finnish, Danish, Norwegian, and Swedish – and we have many Thai participants as well,” she added.
Alan Wihlborg Andersen, the son of the Danish Consul in Thailand also attended the event.
“This is my first time attending the Young Professional Networking and it is fun to meet new friends here,” said Alan, who is currently studying at Chulalongkorn University.
“I will definitely join the next networking!”
