Singapore’s new ambassador to Sweden, Mr Quek Poh Huat, presented his credentials to King Carl XVI Gustaf on Friday 19 March.
Ambassador Quek was with the Ministry of Defence 1974 to 1981 when he left to head Singapore Aerospace up to 1984.
Between 1984 and 1985 he chaired Singapore Institute of Standards & Industrial Research. He did also chair Singapore Aerospace from 1983 until 1994 and Singapore Technologies 1993 to 1995.
Ambassador Quek has held a number of board positions in Singaporean companies and is today chairman of the state owned holding company Temasek.
