Danish Artist Adi Kirketerp Showcase at Eat Me Restaurant

Self-taught Danish artist Adi Kirketerp is showcasing 10 latest works in a solo exhibition, “Lost & Found”, at Eat Me Restaurant from December 2, 2010 to January 8, 2011 from 3pm to 1am.
Kirketerp’s textured acrylic paintings blur the distinction between two- and three-dimensional art. Finding beauty and inspiration in the shared reality of everyday existence, Kirketerp reappropriates found objects into poetically ambiguous montages. A mature woman affected by dyslexia and a self-confessed technophobia, Kirketerp views the complexities of contemporary Asian life as a foreigner on the periphery. Dismantling and reassembling items of urban debris such as computer keyboards, floppy discs, fans, children’s kites, textiles and general apparel, Kirketerp finds delight in the conformity of mass merchandising.
Free admission. The gallery/restaurant is open daily from 3pm to 1am, and is located next to the Carmelite Monastery on Convent Road. Call 02-238-0931 or visit www.eatmerestaurant.com.
