The Embassy of Denmark in Bangkok participated in the Scandinavian Tourist Board Workshop in Bangkok Wednesday the 26th of January. The Ambassador H. E. Mikael Hemniti Winther opened the workshop.
During the workshop it was established that Denmark is a prime destination in Scandinavia for shopping, gourmet food and people with an interest in design, architecture and modern lifestyle. Furthermore the simple procedure of obtaining a tourist visa to Denmark was explained.
Denmark currently has the world’s best restaurant and now we also have the world’s best chef. Last year Noma in Copenhagen was selected as the best restaurant in the world at the famous S.Pellegrino World’s 50 Best Restaurants award. Earlier this week the Danish chef Rasmus Kofoed won the biennial Bocuse d’Or culinary world championships. This is the first time Denmark has won the prestigious world title. When Kofoed is not busy winning world championships, he runs his own gourmet restaurant Geranium in Copenhagen.
