The World Vision Laos and the agriculture and forestry service of Khammouane province signed on 4 February a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to start the food security project.
The MoU was signed by Mr. Phomma Phanthalangsy, Director of Khammouane province agriculture and forestry service and the World Vision Laos operations director Grant Power.
The food security project in Khammouane province is supported by World Vision of Hongkong with US$ 272,728 through World Vision Laos and the agriculture and forestry service of Khammuane province to implement the food security project in 25 villages of the two districts of Mahasay and Nhommalath.
The said fund will be used to upgrade the ability of farmers on agricultural production and livestock, to strengthen the market ability for district, provincial and national level in order to manage the agricultural products of
farmers.
