Oriflame up 20 percent in Asia

The Swedish cosmetics multinational Oriflame grew its Asian turnover by 20 percent to Euro 7.4 million during the first quarter 2004 compared with the same period last year.
     Growth in Indonesia was strong and the business in Vietnam, established September 2003, contributed to the larger turnover.
     Oriflame is also active in Thailand and India on the Asian continent and plan to launch sales in China by 2006.
     Worldwide turnover was up 14 percent to Euro 175.1 million during the same period. Strong growth was noticed in Eastern Europe.
     Total after tax profit 1st quarter 2004 was Euro 19.8 million, up two percent compared with 2003. Oriflame is listed on the Stockholm exchange O-list since 24 March 2004.
