Norway’s PM Sends Condolences to Japan

Norwegian Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg on Friday sent his condolences to his Japanese colleague Naoto Kan, following the major earthquake that struck Japan.


“Our thoughts are with all those who have lost their loved ones and those who are injured”, Stoltenberg wrote. He said the Norwegian government stands ready to assist in any way Japanese authorities might need.


Underlining the close relations between Norway and Japan, Prime Minister Stoltenberg said that many people in Norway are following the situation in Japan with great sympathy and concern.
