Danish Ambassador, Friis Arne Petersen participated with other European colleagues in a trip to Shandong Province.
Saturday 9th of April to Sunday 10th of April, Vice Foreign Minister Madam Fu Ying from the Chinese Foreign Ministry had invited the European ambassadors to visit Shandong Province.
During the visit the Ambassadors met the governor Mr Jiang Daming and Mayor Mr Mei Yonghong of Ji´Ning municipal Government.
They visited Qufu Normal University where professor Zhang Peicheng introduced Confucian philosophy and professor Qin yaqing talked about traditional Chinese culture and contemporary Chinese diplomacy.
The presentations were followed by a lively discussion between the ambassadors, the professors and Madam Fu Ying.
The program also included a visit to the Confucius Temple and Mansion as well as the Shandong Museum.
