The Euro 2004 is just around the corner and many people are looking forward to cheer their favorite teams. This year, the Danes and Swedes cannot miss to cheer the Danish and Swedish teams as they have made it to the final matches. For such spectacular sport event, it is less likely that the people will watch the matches at home all by themselves. To make the game more exciting, it becomes a tradition where restaurants and bars broadcast the game live on a large screen so everybody can enjoy the match in full.
In Bangkok, the Danes and Swedes can watch the tournament at The Admiral’s Pub and Restaurant, which shows all the Swedish and Danish matches live on big screen. The nights will be accompanied by snacks and beverages.
As in Singapore, the Danes gather in abundance at the Danish restaurant, AKVAVIT, to view the three Danish matches live on a giant wide screen. The Danish Business Associations in Singapore also supports this special event.
The Danes and fans of the Danish national football team in Kuala Lumpur will meet at Home & Away in Desa Sri Hartamas to watch Denmark playing against Italy. It will be in traditional Danish style with hats (klaphatte), flags and red hotdogs.
In Hanoi, the Danes are getting together at Nutz Bar, Sheraton Hotel for the match against Italy and at JJ’s Bar, Hilton Hotel for the game against Bulgaria. The match against Sweden kicks off late and so far no gatherings have been arranged yet.
