Swedish MP Meets Thailand’s New Prime Minister

Kent Härstedt, Member of the Swedish Parliament representing the Social Democrats, met with Thailand’s new Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra on Friday, August 20, 2011 at 10.00 as one of the very first international politicians to meet the new prime minister who moved into the Prime Minister office earlier the same week.


Härstedt has over many years built up a large and broad net of political contacts in Thailand. The conversation with the Prime Minister touched on subjects like democracy, reconciliation and international cooperation.


“I look forward to our meeting and will make a sincere way to share my thoughts and advice,” Kent Harstedt said prior to the meeting.
