Danish Water Days in Chongqoing

Danish technology and consultancy companies interested in the water sector are invited to join the Danish Water Days 2011-event in Chongqing, China’s largest municipality, from November 28th- 30th 2011. This is the fourth time the Royal Danish Consulate of Chongqing is organising such event.
Chongqing is among the fastest growing cities in China. The local economy has doubled from 2006 to 2010, and with an expected GDP growth of 17 pct. for 2011 this development seems to continue. The growth is driven by the Central Government’s “Go West”-strategy and a demand from enterprises that want to enjoy lower costs and rising market opportunities in the western region.
“The Water Days is the best platform for both established and new Danish companies to China to get connected with the local decision-makers of policies and business,” says Consul Hans Halskov.
“In the past four years, we have built up a strong network that Danish companies can benefit from directly. Our aim is to make the Water Days a short-cut to business opportunities for Danish participants.”
