Danish Businesses Should Target Emerging Markets

Danish exporters should focus much more on countries with growth instead of our main traditional markets, according to Shanghai-based DI-AsiaBase Managing Director Glen Mikkelsen.

“Among the few things we know for sure is the fact that the so-called emerging markets spearheaded by China will experience growth at a significantly higher level than Denmark and our main traditional export markets in the short and medium term and possibly also in the long term,” says Glen Mikkelsen.

He believes that Danish exporting companies should target these markets even more intensely.

“To succeed in China and/or try to be first in some of the other stable development markets with economic and demographic potential is alpha and omega in the long term as counter weight to the structural low growth in western Europe,” DI’s man in China says.
