Embassy Helps Promote Danish Heating Tech in Qinghai

A delegation from the Danish Board of District Heating (DBDH) headed by Minister Counsellor Søren Jacobsen visited Xining in Qinghai which is located in the western part of China, on 2 September.
The visit was made as part of a promotion of Danish heating and cooling technology. During the visit, a Denmark-Qinghai urban heating development exchange seminar was held.


There were more than 70 participants at the seminar, among them were Danish companies, APV, BROEN, Danfoss, Grundfos and Kamstrup and some Chinese companies.
Mr. Zhao Hongyan, Deputy Director General of Qinghai Department of Housing & Urban Rural Development represented the Chinese authorities.


In his opening speech, Minister Counsellor Søren Jacobsen said that it was his pleasure to be present at the Denmark-Qinghai Exchange Seminar on heating solutions.
“I am happy to see that nowadays more and more Danish companies are entering into strategic partnerships with Chinese cities. The cooperation today once again illustrates the well established close ties between Denmark and China,” he says.
“A number of Danish companies have developed a variety of sustainable solutions in different sectors, energy efficient buildings and cities, efficient energy transportation and production, and energy efficient industries. These companies, such as DBDH, are now taking world leading roles in their respective areas,” he adds.
The seminar included a general introduction to Danish heating, status, planning and development and examples of Danish heating in Chinese cities. The seminar aims to enhance the cooperation between the Danish and Chinese companies.
