Swedish glove producer opens factory in Vietnam

The Swedish company Hestra has opened their first factory in Vietnam.

On 11 September Hestra, a Swedish producer of gloves, officially opened their first factory in Vietnam.

The opening were among others attended by Vice Chairman of Hai Phong People’s Committee Mr Nguyen Van Tranh and the Swedish Ambassador in Vietnam Pereric Högberg.

“I was proud and happy to participate in the opening. It was great to see the spirit of the people working at the factory and all the invited guests from near and far. As a skier, I can think of nothing better than a pair of Hestra when out in the winter snow,” the ambassador writes on his official facebook page.

The new factory has 120 employees.

Hestra was founded in 1936 as a family business and is now run by the third generation. The company has a presence in over 25 countries.
