Anker Nielsen passed away

Mr. Poul Anker Nielsen, owner and CEO of Howard Alatpertanian Sdn Bhd passed away peacefully on Tuesday 11 April at 11.30 at University Malaya Medical Centre (PPUM) due to heart attack following a stent surgery.

Funeral details for Anker Nielsen are as follows:
Wake on Friday 14th 8.30pm at Gui Yuan Crematorium, Kampung Tunku, Petaling Jaya, Jalan 229, Seksyen 51a
Funeral on Saturday 1.30pm at St. Mary’s Cathedral, near Dataran Merdeka (Royal Selangor Club). Obituary in the Star Thursday.

Anker Nielsen was one of the most well-known and well-liked old-timers in the Danish community with over 28 years residency in Malaysia during which he was always very active in the Danish community. It would not take long for any newcomer to KL to get to know who Anker Nielsen was. He was a Hash House Harriers runner, he was active in the KL Balut and the Malaysia Danish Business Council as well as a member of Royal Selangor Club for many year.
