During the 17 and 20 of March the Swedish diplomatic presence in Vietnam is up dramatically as the Swedish ambassadors in the Asian region have gathered in Hanoi for the Regional Ambassadors’ Meeting.
Also present are Heads of Department from Stockholm as well as our State Secretary for Foreign Affairs, Mr Frank Belfrage. During the intensive days, the ambassadors are discussing regional issues and other issues of interest.
Vice Minister Belfrage also had a bilateral meeting with his counterpart Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Ha Kim Ngoc on Tuesday. Later in the week, there will be a study trip to Central Vietnam where the ambassadors will be learning about the dioxin and agent orange challenges as well as visiting the World Cultural Heritage city of Hoi An.
