The Norwegian award-winning author Erlend Loe and Finland’s bestselling female crime author Leena Lehtolainen will attend the M Literary Festival in Beijing and the Shanghai International Literary Festival in March 2013.

Mr. Loe will hold a solo event presenting his novel “Naïve. Super”, published in Chinese by Xiron Publishing House. Lehtolainen will be present at the festival in Beijing on Saturday, March 2 and the festival in Shanghai on March 3-4, Sunday and Monday.

Published in 1996, “Naïve. Super” is Loe’s second novel and his great break-through. It was a No. 1 best-seller in Norway. It has been translated into 31 languages, and in 2006 it won the French Prix Européen des Jeunes Lecteurs prize, which is given by the European parliament.

Lehtolainen is a crime fiction queen. In 1993, her book “Ensimmäinen murhani” (My First Murder) kicked off Lehtolainen’s first crime novel series, which has brought an enthusiastically-received female perspective to the male-dominated detective genre. The recent titles of the series headed straight to #1 on the Finnish bestseller lists.
