Bangkok international rugby won by Southbridge

Southbridge win Bangkok Tens
The first weekend of March marked the Bangkok International Rugby Tens 10th anniversary. The rugby tournament successfully hosted 1,600 participants and many spectators.

Celebrities spotted at the event were former Springbok Captain Bobby Skinstad, former Tongan captain, now TV personality and NZ Sky Sports commentator Willy Lose, South African commentator Dan Nicholl and former Wallaby player Warrick Waugh.

Southbridge Rugby Football Club from New Zealand, winners in 2014 and home team of All Black Dan Carter, won the Men’s Open Cup and Avery Home Vets took away the Vet’s trophy.

Mantra
The tournament is run to raise funds for underprivileged children in Bangkok and achieved this goal with the help of supportive partners Emirates, Mantra Venture Group, Hilton and DoubleTree by Hilton, as well as Bumrungrad Hospital, Heineken, The Coffee Club, Patana School and others.

The tournament will be featured on the Rugby Asia Channel, aired on Setanta.
