Buddhist ceremony in Stockholm

On Saturday 21 January 2017, the Royal Thai Embassy in Stockholm held a Buddhist Ceremony marking the 100th day of the passing of H.M. King Bhumibol Adulyadej.

The ceremony was attended by H.E. Mr. Kiattikhun Chartprasert, the Ambassador of Thailand in Stockholm, accompanied by Mrs. Jaruwat Chartprasert, along with representatives from Team Thailand offices, the Embassy’s officials and families, and around 200 Thai people residing in Sweden.

The sermon and merit making ceremony was performed by 10 monks invited from temples in Sweden. After the ceremony, the Thai film ‘Pohn-Jak-Fah’ (Gift), honouring King Bhumibol Adulyadej’s musical compositions, was shown. Ambassador Kiattikhun also called for donation to help flood victims in the South of Thailand in dedication to His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej as well.
