
Cambodia recorded 71,191 foreign tourists this year during its three-day traditional New Year holiday, according to the country’s Ministry of Tourism.
The holiday, known as Khmer New Year, was celebrated from 14 to 16 April all across Cambodia.
Minister of Tourism Huot Hak said the celebrations created a lively atmosphere, with activities taking place across the country during the holiday period, attracting tens of thousands of international tourists.
The traditional New Year is Cambodia’s largest annual holiday, marked by religious ceremonies, celebrations and travel to leisure destinations.
