Carlsberg moves its Malaysia head to China

Carlsberg has moved its Managing Director Soren Ravn in Malaysia to head its Greater China Unit.

From 1 July, Soren Ravn will take on the new role, Carlsberg said on 24 April. Mr. Ravn, 39, will be replaced by CEO of Carlsberg Indochina Henrik Juel Andersen, the company said.

Carlsberg Malaysia chairman Dato Lim Say Chong said: “Ravn has been instrumental in leading Carlsberg Malaysia Group to three years of continuous strong revenue and profit growth.”

Andersen, 46, has held his current post for five years and has previously held management positions for Carlsberg in Vietnam, China and Taiwan, the brewer said.

Carlsberg’s UK unit on 24 April said it is reducing the abvon Tuborg to make the brand more “accessible”.
