China Festival in Stockholm

This weekend, the first ever China Festival took place in Kungsträdgården in Stockholm, attracting hundreds of locals and tourists.

The opening was performed by the Chinese Ambassador to Sweden on Friday afternoon.

“The China Festival reflects the pioneering spirit of overseas Chinese in Sweden and the harmonious atmosphere of solidarity and cooperation among them,” said Ambassador Lan Lijun.

He added that the festival had strengthened the friendship between Swedish and Chinese people as it had offered a good opportunity to get to know China.

Organized by the Chinese Association of Sweden in association with the Chinese embassy, the three-day event offered 30 shows performed by around 180 performers across China and the world, including Kung Fu, traditional instruments, embroidery, tea art and calligraphy as well as offered the best of Chinese food for all.
