China increased its share of Denmark’s apparel imports during the first half of 2026, while imports from Bangladesh declined.
Denmark imported apparel worth $2.6 billion between January and June, down 4.9 per cent from the same period last year, according to Fibre2Fashion data.
Chinese shipments rose 5.4 per cent to $568.5 million, giving China a 21.9 per cent share of Denmark’s apparel imports. Bangladesh, meanwhile, saw shipments fall 13.1 per cent to $438.5 million.
Germany remained Denmark’s third-largest apparel supplier, while Sweden moved close behind it. The five largest suppliers accounted for 62.8 per cent of Denmark’s total apparel imports during the period.
The figures highlight continued changes in European clothing supply chains, with China increasing its position in the Danish market even as Denmark’s overall apparel imports declined.
