The Chinese School in Norway celebrated its 30th anniversary on 21 September with more than 300 participants, including students, teachers, and members of the overseas Chinese community.

Founded in the 1995 in Oslo, the school provides Chinese language and cultural education to children and adults in Norway. Its activities include regular language classes, cultural workshops, and events aimed at promoting mutual understanding between China and Norway. Over the years, the school has become a meeting point for overseas Chinese families as well as Norwegians interested in Chinese culture.

Chinese Ambassador to Norway Hou Yue attended the event and delivered a speech, congratulating the school on three decades of activity. She noted that the anniversary reflects both the development of overseas Chinese education and the close ties between the Chinese and Norwegian peoples.

Ambassador Hou encouraged the school to continue strengthening its foundations while adapting to international trends in language education. She expressed hopes that the school will enhance the quality of Chinese language teaching in Norway and offer broader perspectives on China to Norwegian citizens.

The celebration included cultural performances and an award ceremony. Among the recipients was Mrs. Yuanjun, head of the Chinese School, who was recognized for her contribution to education.
