Danish Ambassador visits Hong Kong

Ambassador Friis Arne Petersen visited Hong Kong 2-3 March. A statement from the Danish Ministry for Foreign Affairs says the ambassador met the highest levels of the HK SAR government including the Secretary for Development as well as the Secretary for Environment to discuss developments within urban design and sustainable development solutions for big cities.

Danish companies and public authorities are eager to expand cooperation within these fields where Denmark has special competencies to offer, the statement says.

Ambassador Friis Arne Petersen also met with the Hong Kong Hospital Authority to discuss possible cooperation and paid a visit to Hong Kong Polytechnical University – the largest university in Hong Kong – with whom several Danish universities have an extensive cooperation and as well as student exchange.

According to the statement, the ambassador also found time to meet with a number of prominent Danish business leaders in Hong Kong as well as other “societal stakeholders”.
