This year, Denmark and Vietnam celebrate their 45 years of bilateral diplomatic relations. As a part of this celebration, different Danish films will be screened to Vietnamese audience during the Danish Film Weeks which will take place from 19 to 27 November 2016.
During this time, eight Danish films will be shown on the big screen, all of which are internationally acclaimed with various awards and nominations.
Through the Danish Film Weeks, the Embassy of Denmark in Vietnam wants to give the Vietnamese audience an opportunity to better understand the Danish modern life and experience Danish contemporary film industry.
“Culture and art are key areas for our bilateral cooperation. We believe that engagement in these areas creates critical reflections, which are important for the development of modern societies,” says Ms. Charlotte Laursen, Danish Ambassador to Vietnam.
The movies that will be shown during the Danish Film Weeks are as follows: A Royal Affair, The Candidate, Freddy Frogface, A Hijacking, Mini and the Mozzies, The Hunt, The Circus Dynasty, and Silent Heart.
The screenings will take place during these two weekends in Hanoi at the National Cinema Center, 87 Lang Ha, and Ho Chi Minh City at Cinebox, 212 Ly Chinh Thang, District 3.
