The Nordic Centre at Fudan University in Shanghai welcomed a group of students from Rysensteen Gymnasium in Denmark on a study visit last week.

The programme began with an introduction to the Nordic Centre by Programme Manager Veli-Matti Palomäki, followed by a Q&A session with student assistants and interns. The students then heard presentations from visiting scholars at NTNU and Stockholm University, as well as a PhD candidate teaching assistant, on their current research.

The visit concluded with a discussion on the concept of cultural confidence, before the group gathered for a photo in front of the Nordic Centre building.

The Nordic Centre, which celebrates its 30th anniversary this year, serves as a hub for academic and cultural exchange between Nordic countries and China. It regularly hosts visiting students, researchers and events aimed at strengthening ties between the regions.
