Danish jewellery company Pandora has officially opened its new manufacturing facility in Ho Chi Minh City, marking the company’s first production site outside Thailand.

The USD 150 million facility will produce up to 60 million pieces of jewellery a year and increase Pandora’s overall manufacturing capacity by around 50 percent. When fully operational, it is expected to employ around 7,000 people.

The opening on October 1 marks the start of production at the facility, which Pandora describes as the world’s largest fine jewellery crafting facility. The company said the investment is intended to support long-term growth while making its manufacturing network more diversified and resilient.

Pandora has produced jewellery in Thailand for decades and currently employs more than 12,000 people at its Thai crafting facilities. The company says expertise from its Thai operations will be shared with workers at the new Vietnamese facility.

Danish Ambassador to Vietnam Lina Gandløse Hansen attended the opening and welcomed the investment, saying it would create thousands of jobs and further strengthen Vietnam’s role as a manufacturing hub.

The new facility has LEED Gold certification and will operate on renewable electricity, while using recycled silver and gold. Pandora said the plant will also support future production of its platinum-plated jewellery.

Pandora is headquartered in Copenhagen and is listed on Nasdaq Copenhagen. The company reported revenue of DKK 32.5 billion in 2025.
