Thai Airways is continuing to cancel and reschedule flights as it works to restore normal operations following the disruption at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport.

In its latest operational update on October 1, the airline said several domestic and international services scheduled for October 1-3 had been cancelled or rescheduled.

Among the international flights affected are the Bangkok-Copenhagen route on October 2, with TG950/TG951 cancelled, and the Bangkok-Amsterdam service on October 3, TG936/TG937. Several services to Singapore, India, Vietnam, Taiwan and other destinations have also been affected.

The airline has, however, begun restoring some services. Thai Airways said the Bangkok-Seoul round trip will resume on October 2-3, with TG656 departing Bangkok at 11.30pm on October 2 and TG657 returning from Seoul the following morning.

Thai Airways said it is continuing to monitor the situation and take measures to return operations to normal.

The disruption has been linked to severe flooding in Bangkok and surrounding areas, which caused staffing and baggage-handling problems at Suvarnabhumi. The airline has also suspended inbound, outbound and transit cargo operations at its airport warehouse from October 1 to 6, with limited exemptions.

Passengers are advised to check their flight status directly with Thai Airways before travelling.
