Danish PM kicks off 4-day visit to China

Danish Prime Minister Helle Thorning-Schmidt started her official visit China from the 9th to the 12th of September, in an effort to strengthen bilateral political and commercial ties for win-win cooperation, as well as enhance people-to-people contacts.

She will be accompanied by Rasmus Helveg Petersen, Minister for Climate, Energy and Building, and Kirsten Brosbøl, Minister for Environment. A delegation consisting of top leaders from selected Danish companies and representatives of leading Danish trade organizations will also be part of the upcoming visit.

The Prime Minister will also participate in the World Economic Forum’s Meeting of the New Champions in Tianjin to highlight the Danish positions of strength in the fields of climate and green solutions.

In addition, she will give a speech to students at Tianjin University, and unveil the H.C. Andersen exhibition at the Chinese Museum of Women and Children in Beijing as part of the ongoing Danish Cultural Season in China.
