The training is organised by the Myanmar Red Cross Society in collaboration with the Danish Red Cross and Danish Red Cross Youth. It is being held at the Sayasan Hotel in Yangon.

Ten Red Cross youth volunteers from Mandalay Region, Magway Region, and Kayin State are taking part. The aim is to equip them with skills to promote social cohesion in their communities.

The opening ceremony included remarks from Professor Dr Myo Nyunt, President of the Myanmar Red Cross Society, and Nuria Beneitez, Country Manager for the Danish Red Cross. Representatives from Danish Red Cross Youth also attended.

Officials from the German Red Cross and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies were present alongside the participating volunteers.
