Earlier it was reported, that Singapore Airlines planned to expand its operations in Copenhagen by launching daily flights between the Danish capital and Singapore using the new Airbus aircraft.

Now Singapore Airlines are set try collaboration with a top Danish restaurant on these flights. The collaboration will most likely be with one of the following four restaurants: Kiin Kiin, Dragsholm Slot, Studio or Maarbjerg, but is not yet known which.

“The ambition is for the quality and taste to soar way up where the passengers can hear the angels sing, and to do so in collaboration with the Nordic and Asian kitchen,” said the head of Singapore Airlines in Scandinavia and Finland, Tim Lee.

A workshop at Gate Gourmet has already been set up to outline the guidelines for aeroplane food, and the next step is for the restaurants to send in recipes and menus to a panel of representatives from Singapore Airlines, Gate Gourmet and the gastronomic scene. The panel will then evaluate the menus.

Singapore Airlines expects to serve the food from one of the Danish restaurants to its business and economy class passengers on its Copenhagen-Singapore route from January 2016.
