Ahead of World Diabetes Day on November 14, the Bangkok Ride & Run 2024 brought together hundreds in support of diabetes awareness.
Organized by the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, the Diabetes Association of Thailand, and Novo Nordisk, the event aimed to inspire a proactive approach to diabetes care. Danish cycling team Team Novo Nordisk, composed entirely of athletes with type 1 diabetes, joined the event to show that the condition is no barrier to a vibrant life.
Danish Ambassador Danny Annan opened the Ride & Run at 5:15 a.m. at Bangkok City Hall. The event wrapped up with a seminar on mental and social well-being, highlighting the importance of community and a holistic approach to diabetes management.
