Denmark embassy team Singapore welcome dinner

Denmark’s next Ambassador in Singapore as well as the the new Consul and Deputy Head of Mission will be welcomed by the community in Singapore with an evening dinner event on Thursday 22 September 2016.

Meet the Ambassador-designate to Singapore; Mrs Dorte Bech Vizard and her Deputy Head of Mission, Mr Henning Nielsen at the Singapore Cricket Club, where they will both introduce themselves. H.E. Mrs Dorte Bech Vizard will also enlighten the Singapore-Danis business community with the latest developments in Denmark and her initial thoughts on Danish-Singaporean relations going forward.

dorte-bech-vizardMrs Dorte Bech Vizard is the Ambassador-designate of Denmark to Singapore and Brunei. She assumes the post on 1 Sept 2016. Formerly, Dorte was the Director for Invest in Denmark and Innovation in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Copenhagen. Dorte has also held the position as Head of Department for Legal and International Affairs in the Danish Ministry for Children, Gender Equality, Integrations and Social Affairs. As Manager for the Strategy Team with Deloitte Business Consulting, Dorte brings solid experience from the private sector as well. She holds a Master of Law (LLM) from Aarhus University. Dorte is married with two children, aged 10 and 13 years. Her family will join her here in Singapore.

henning-nielsen-deputy-singaporeMr Henning Nielsen is the Consul/Deputy Head of Mission at the Royal Danish Embassy in Singapore. Henning will join the Embassy early August 2016. Formerly, Henning was the team leader for the Consular Service Operation Centre in the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Copenhagen. With previous postings to Prague, Kampala, Dhaka and New York, Henning brings to Singapore a solid practical and judicial experience on consular issues relevant for Danes in Singapore. In addition, Henning has a wide working experience within administration and IT. He is married with two adult children. His wife will join him here in Singapore.
The event starts at 6.30pm, at Singapore Cricket Club, (Gilmour Room), Connaught Drive.
