Denmark’s diplomatic mission reshuffles driven by trade

The ministry also announced that diplomatic missions in Romania, the Netherlands, Portugal, Albania, Argentina, Malaysia, Vietnam, Morocco and Afghanistan would face cuts in staff and resources.

Savings from the closures and downgrades will be used to open new embassies in Colombia, the Philippines and Myanmar and Nigeria.

According to Nielsen, the diplomatic mission reshuffle is part of an attempt to focus on areas experiencing growth in the global market.
