Finish Company, Valio gets export license from China.

Finnish dairy company Valio has earned an export permit from the Chinese authorities.

The export permit gives Valio great opportunities to export its baby milk powder and ready-to-feed liquid infant formula made at the factory in Finland to China.

No information about when the export will start is yet mentioned on Valio’s website.

Actually, Valio has entered China’s market for many years since the 1980. Valio milk powders and its Valio Demi brand of demineralised whey powders were exported to China for industrial use and last year Valio also expanded its operations in China with a new head office in Shanghai and the establishment of retail and food service business units in the country.

According to Valio senior vice president, Jussi Mattsson “We want to strengthen our position in China as a trusted supplier of high-quality industrial ingredients. At the same time, we are building a consumer product market.  Valio’s strengths include Finland’s pure natural environment and extremely high-quality milk, provided directly by our owners, 5,000 Finnish dairy farms. Chinese parents want, most of all, safe food for their children.”
