The Embassy of Finland in Bangkok has welcomed Mikke Kinnari as its new Head of Immigration Affairs.
Kinnari joined the embassy in August after spending the past three years at the Finnish Embassy in Kathmandu, Nepal, where he served as Deputy Head of Mission and Consul.
In an introduction published by the embassy, Kinnari said he was now in his second week in Bangkok and described the move as his sixth country of residence.
He has previously lived and worked in Tokyo, New York City, Moscow, Petrozavodsk and London.
Kinnari said he was looking forward to spending more time exploring Thailand, including through diving, hiking, surfing and cycling.
His role as Head of Immigration Affairs places him in charge of a key area of consular services for Finnish citizens and others dealing with Finnish immigration matters in Thailand.
The Finnish Embassy welcomed Kinnari to Thailand and its diplomatic team.
