Finland hosts Thai education officials in Bangkok

On Thursday 16 October 2025, representatives from Thailand’s Ministry of Education met with Finnish education partners at a networking dinner hosted by the Embassy of Finland in Bangkok.

The event took place at the residence of H.E. Ms. Eeva Kristiina Kuvaja-Xanthopoulos, Ambassador of Finland to Thailand, and brought together education officials and experts to explore opportunities for collaboration and exchange.

Ms. Chitlada Chan-yam, Director of the Bureau of International Affairs, Office of the Permanent Secretary, led the Thai delegation. She was joined by Ms. Rungkarn Phanphakdee, Acting Director of the Bilateral Cooperation Division, and staff from the ministry’s international affairs office.

From Finland, participants included Ms. Erin Lindblom from the Council for Creative Education (CCE) Finland Oy, Ms. Kaisu Pallaskallio, Founder of Code School Finland, Ms. Heidi Lempinen, Head of Cooperation at Omnia Education Partnerships, and Ms. Sanna Nummela, Director of Services at EduCluster Finland.

According to the Ministry of Education, the meeting marked an important step in enhancing Thai–Finnish relations and advancing sustainable development within Thailand’s education system.
